Why tolerance matters
In automatic stamping, a ±0.01 mm deviation can cause tool wear, misfeeds and scrap. Tighter tolerance = higher yield and longer die life.
Common tolerance bands

How to specify on your PO
- State the nominal thickness (e.g. 0.50 mm).
- State the tolerance you require (e.g. ±0.008 mm).
- Ask for a thickness certificate in the MTC.
